No promises made to BDJS, says P S Sreedharan Pillai

Alappuzha: The BJP's Chengannur by-poll candidate P.S. Sreedharan Pillai on Tuesday said the party had never promised a Rajya Sabha seat to Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS). “The reports in this regard were baseless. BDJS president (Thushar Vellappally) himself made it clear that they never demanded one,” he told reporters here.

He said he did not think senior leader P.K. Krishnadas was behind the rumour. On a possible alliance with the Kerala Congress (M), he said BJP was open to anyone who agrees with NDA’s policies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release his book ‘Dark Days of Democracy’ on Wednesday in New Delhi. Marthoma Church Delhi Diocese Bishop Rev. Gregorios Stephanos Episcopa will receive the first copy. State president Kummanam Rajasekharan, national executive member P.K. Krishnadas and others will attend the function.
