Hyderabad: Day temperature in the city touched 37OC on Tuesday, a significant rise of 5-7OC from what Hyderabad experienced three days ago.

While dry weather prevailed throughout the state, the highest of 38OC was recorded in Bhadrachalam, followed by 37OC in Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad and Ramagundam. 

There was a gradual rise in night temperatures too with the minimum in Hyderabad at 22OC (warm night). 

This trend of rising night temperatures was also observed across all districts, except Adilabad that had 17OC. 

Over the decade, mercury levels in Hyderabad touched 40.5OC in 2017 and 41.2OC in 2016. 

The all-time high was 42.2OC in 1892. The Indian meterological department had predicted this summer to be hotter than normal. 

Weather alert: Forecast for the coming days is partly cloudy sky with haze, the maximum day temperatures to be around 36OC and minimum of 23OC. 

For the state it was likely to be dry weather. Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm was likely at isolated places over Telangana on March 24 and 25.
