Youth Congress wants P Jayarajan to be nabbed
Jayarajan has been eliminating his rivals and hence his name has to be changed to killer Jayarajan .
Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress State president Dean Kuriakose and vice president C. R. Mahesh have demanded that CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan be arrested. The two YC leaders said this on the second day of their fast in front of the Secretariat on Tuesday which they had gone on to demand that the “real culprits” behind the murder of YC Mattannur block secretary T. H. Shuhaib be nabbed.
The two YC leaders alleged that Jayarajan was aware of the real culprits behind Shuhaib’s brutal murder “when even the two dummy culprits have taken selfies with him”. “Jayarajan has been eliminating his rivals and hence his name has to be changed to “killer Jayarajan”. His role is becoming clear after the police claimed that there was a conspiracy behind the murder of Shuhaib and the dummy culprit Akash Thillenkery was reluctant to reveal who committed it”, said Dean.
The two YC leaders also demanded that Jayarajan should be arrested in view of Akash’s declaration in an earlier rally that “hands, legs and head will be chopped off”. They feel that Akash would not have blurted out such controversial comments in public without the blessings of Jayarajan. Dean and Mahesh also said that their 48 hours fast has since been extended to an indefinite fast.
On the second day of their fast, prominent leaders like former KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran, Anoop Jacob MLA, party spokesperson Pandalam Sudhakaran visited them. After they had left the fast venue, KSU and YC protestors took out a march before the Secretariat in solidarity with the two YC leaders which turned violent. Police resorted to lathicharge and water cannons in which a few protestors and four policemen were injured.
