TTD to build Digital Tirumala

The TCS came forward to offer its assistance under Corporate Social Responsibility to TTD.

TTD in bringing out the technological revolution with an aim to provide better services for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Nellore: TTD is all set to enter into a pact with renowned IT Company Tata Consultancy Services to build a 'Digital Tirumala' soon in order to provide enhanced services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims to the hill shrine.

The TCS came forward to offer its assistance under Corporate Social Responsibility to TTD in bringing out the technological revolution with an aim to provide better services for the convenience of the pilgrims.

TTD EO D. Sambasiva Rao expressed his immense pleasure to collaborate with TCS during a review meeting on TTD's IT transformation and TCS governance held at Tirupati on Saturday. CEO of TCS Natarajan Chandrasekaran also participated and reviewed on various developmental IT related projects which have already initiated and going to be brought soon in detail.

The EO complimented TCS for coming forward to offer its assistance to TTD in offering best of its services to the lakhs of pilgrims thronging the hill shrine.

Referring to steep increase in the number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala every year, the EO said that TTD is envisaging using technology to the best possible extent especially in the areas of darshan, accommodation, laddu prasadam distribution etc.

"In the last one year, with the help of TCS, we have made significant improvement in darshan and accommodation by deploying the best-in-class systems. The onli-ne booking of '300, arj-itha seva tickets, accommodation, e-Hundi, demat, e-books are just a few to mention. But still there is a long way to go and need to integrate the system by developing a next gen application," he strongly felt.

Later, Chandrasekaran said that it is indeed a great privilege to work with TTD in developing an IT application to provide wide range of services to pilgrims, which will definitely enhance their experience and satisfaction levels.

"There is need to develop an application to integrate Donor Manageme-nt System. Apart from this we should focus on integrating everything. Our team is also working on Srivari Seva on-line application. This we will achieve by sketching out a specific time frame," he added.

TCS vice-president Rajanna, CIO Sudhakar Bhaskaruni, TTD IT wing head Sesha Reddy, additional FA&CAO Balaji, and other officers, representatives of TCS were  present.
