TRS leader shuns wife over second marriage
The active TRS leader married Sangeetha in September 2011 and the couple was blessed with a baby girl.
Hyderabad: A TRS youth leader from Boduppal along with his parents expelled his wife from their house for questioning his second marriage on Sunday.
A video surfaced showing the brutality which the lady went through. Pulakandla Srinivas Reddy, TRS leader at Boduppal, threw his wife out of home after beating her in full public view when she questioned him about his second marriage.
The active TRS leader married Sangeetha in September 2011 and the couple was blessed with a baby girl.
“This was his second marriage and soon after the wedding, the in-laws started harassing her for more dowry,” said the Medipally police. The distressed housewife had previously lodged a complaint aga-inst him at the Chand-anagar police station.
“She later came to know that he had married another woman without her knowledge and without divorcing her,” added the police. “On Sunday, when she went to her husband’s house along with her mother and brother to question his second marriage, his mother, Ilamma, abused her and dragged her out of the house. She also tried to choke her. He also assaulted her brother,” said the police. Based on her complaint, a case was booked against the TRS youth leader and the family members.
