Hyderabad High Court restricts in-person litigations

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has issued new regulations to curb frivolous litigations, particularly with regard to the party-in-person cases, 

As per the notification issued by the Registry of the High Court, parties who intend to file their cases in person, shall  first  file  an  application  along  with  the  proceedings  seeking  permission  to  appear  in  person  along with an undertaking as per Rule 33 B (4)(c) and (5) of the Rules of the High Court  Appellate Side, in the New Filing Section. 

After receipt of the application, the party-in-person will be informed of the date of interaction with the Committee of Officers (CoC) of the Registry. After interaction, if the committee felt that the party-in-person had the ability to present his case before the court, then it will place his case before the Chief Justice.

If the CoC finds that the party-in-person has no ability put forth his case, then it will recommend for providing a lawyer to argue his case if the party-in-person is not in a capacity to engage the lawyer.
