Vijayawada: Arrangements for Yoga Day
He appealed to the public to participate in the Yoga Day programme and make it a success.
Vijayawada: Krishna collector A.Md. Imtiaz on Wednesday inspected the arrangements for Yoga Day celebrations to be held on June 21 at the NAC function hall.
Speaking on the occasion, the collector said that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be chief guest of the programme. He said that yoga programme would commence from 6 am and the Chief Minister will join the programme by 7 am.
He said that the International Yoga Day would be held jointly by the central and state governments, Department of AYUSH, AP.
The programme will be organised as per the Government of India standards and Yoga students of AYUSH will participate in the programme, said the collector.
He appealed to the public to participate in the Yoga Day programme and make it a success.
AYUSH commissioner P.A. Shoba, VMC commissioner M. Rama Rao, Joint collector – 2 P. Babu Rao, CSW DCP Udayarani, DM&HO Dr I. Ramesh and other officials were present.
