BJP MLAs walk out as National Anthem is played

Congress members shouted and raised slogans against Mr Bopaiah for disrespecting the National Anthem.

Bengaluru: Protem Speaker K.G. Bopaiah and BJP legislators, including former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, came under attack for not respecting the National Anthem in the Assembly on Saturday evening.

Soon after Mr Yeddyurappa concluded his speech and left to submit his resignation to Governor Vajubhai Vala, Mr Bopaiah adjourned House sine die without waiting for the national anthem. 

Congress members shouted and raised slogans against Mr Bopaiah for disrespecting the National Anthem. Marshals rushed to the office of the Speaker and reminded him about the anthem. He returned the chair and stood up till the national anthem played.
