Hyderabad: E-Auction of gifted plots from April 9

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) had promised to hand over 400 acres for the township project.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority on Monday released a notification for the auction of leftover and gifted plots. Citizens can participate in the e-auction from April 9 to April 12. The bidding process will be held from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm on the four days. 72 plots will be auctioned per day. 

The tender document will be available to download from midnight of April 7 at www.mstcecommerce.com, a third-party website maintained by the Centre.  
Rs 10,000 is the registration fee for the e-auction. Those who end up getting plots in the auction can pay the bid amount in instalments. 25 percent of the plot value must be paid within a week from the auction, and the remaining amount must be paid within 60 days. 

The HMDA is looking to earn about Rs 300 crore through the auction of plots. HMDA authorities said of the 229 plots being auctioned, 146 were located in HMDA-developed layouts.
