Eluru: Collector wants to ensure adequate water supply

Eluru: West Godavari Collector Praveen Kumar expressed the need to ensure that no shortage of potable water supply be allowed in the summer that could cause hardships to people.

Taking part in a meeting with the officials from the concerned departments here on Tuesday, the Collector instructed the officials to implement summer action plan properly to ensure that no place in the district face any shortage of potable water supply over the next three months. He asked officials to take all necessary measures to ensure supply of potable water to the 2,413 habitations in 909 gram panchayats across the district.

The Collector instructed the municipal commissioners to take up proper maintenance of sanitation and street lights, make the town free from posters and to tackle the menace of stray dogs and pigs in an effective manner.
