Kerala High Court unhappy over leakage of VACB report against K M Mani

The Vigilance had submitted the progress report on the investigation during the hearing of the case on Wednesday.

KOCHI: The High Court has expressed displeasure over the leakage of the Vigilance report against former finance minister K.M. Mani in connection with the bar bribery case. The court  also cautioned the media from holding further discussions on the content of the report submitted to it in a sealed cover. It  noted that the Vigilance had  already initiated a probe into the circumstances that led to the leakage.

The Vigilance had submitted the progress report on the investigation during the hearing of the case on Wednesday. The same day the content of the report  appeared in the  media.  The court  summoned the senior government pleader on Thursday and expressed its displeasure. On Friday,  the Vigilance  informed the court that it had  launched a probe into the leakage. The court was unhappy that a report  submitted in a sealed cover to the court was leaked.
