GUNTUR: YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced about returning the excess lands to the farmers immediately after coming to power after elections.

He came to Lingayapalem in Amaravati capital region on Thursday to interact with the assigned and island farmers. Responding to the woes of the farmers, he announced that after assuming power, he will return all excess lands which were collected by the present Telugu Desam government.

The locals and farmers of Lingayapalem alleged that the APCRDA was forccibly collecting their lands claiming them as government lands and that their lands were tampered. They claimed that the lands were allotted to their forefathers and they are continuing cultivation for the past 40 years paying all taxes.

But the TD leaders are trying to grab their valuable records by creating fake documents and changed the land records. They alleged that the police had brutally beaten them several times when they questioned the anomalies with APCRDA officials, local MLA of TD T. Sravan Kumar and TD ministers.

Mr Jagan said that Mr Naidu’s made three mistakes which would give very bad result to him in future. He said that first he, along with TD leaders and benamis, purchased lands for nominal rates in Amaravati without anno-uncing the place of the new capital and earned huge profits. Secondly, he excluded lands of TD men from Amaravati zone and included farmers land.

Thirdly, Mr Naidu is selling the lands for huge profits doing real estate business without benefitting farmers, Mr Jagan said and predicted about teaching a befitting lesson by the public to Mr Naidu in future.

Mr Jagan announced that there is no need for huge chunk of lands for Amaravati. YSRC is not against new capital establishment and all excess lands collected by the present TD government would be returned to farmers, he added.

Jagan denied permission to tour Undavalli, Tadepalli
The efforts of YSR Congress leaders in conducting the tour of YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy totally failed with the denying of permission by the police department.

A majority of non-pooling farmers are living in Undavalli and Penumaka in Amaravati capital region. So, the YSRC leaders planned Mr Jagan’s tour covering the two areas.

YSRC leaders submitted two route maps for Mr Jagan’s tour to the police department seeking permission but the they were rejected. The police department affirmed no entry to Jagan and YSRC leaders to Undavalli and other areas in view of Chief Minister’s residence and for security reasons.

YSRC leaders objected to the police restrictions and claimed that Amaravati is not a restricted zone. Hence Jagan has the right to tour in Amaravati. Mangalagiri MLA A. Ramakrishna Reddy and YSRC leaders prepared a route map covering Undavalli and Tadepalli, but the police denied him permission to tour those two places..
