Hyderabad: Telangana state chief secretary S.P. Singh has convened a meeting of top officials on Friday explain them on the changed format of Budget presentation.

Several departments are clueless over the merger of plan and non-plan in the changed Budget format proposed by the Centre from 2017-18 financial year. NITI Aayog has sent the new Budget format to the state government on the preparation of the budget in the new system.

Traditionally, the Budget used to have four major heads: namely, plan expenditure, non-plan expenditure, revenue expenditure and capital expenditure. But the Centre has changed the Budget format with only two heads — revenue expenditure and capital expenditure. Mr Singh will clear the doubts of the officials, if any, during this meeting.
