Bengaluru: The sex scandal involving Congress leader H.Y. Meti has taken a new turn with the 'victim' Vijayalaxmi lodging a complaint against four persons on Saturday.

She filed a FIR at Navanagar police station at 11 pm escaping media glare on the same day when the tainted former minster visited his native village of Timmapur in Bagalkot taluk and held a meeting with his supporters and party workers. Interestingly, she has not filed a complaint against Meti though she was reportedly found with him in the sex video tape. She has not appeared in public ever since she was discharged from the government hospital on the day  the sex video was leaked to the media.

She has named in the complaint, district armed reserve constable Subhas Mugalkhod, contractor Siddalinga Abalakatti, Maruti Mirajkar and BJP worker Ashok Lagaloti who was in JD(S) and Congress a few years ago. She has cited various charges under section 109, 120B, 143, 307,356, 354B, 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code. Earlier, she had lodged an oral complaint with the  superintendent of police against these persons  and also sought protection. The woman has gone absconding again after lodging the complaint. Meanwhile, SP M.N. Nagaraj has constituted a team headed by DySP Ramanagouda Hatti to conduct the enquiry against the four persons who are still at large.

Vijayalakshmi has complained that the four persons forced her to give a false sexual harassment charge against the former minister. Though Meti has claimed innocence and had alleged that the sex video tape was fabricated to tarnish his image, questions are being raised to why he has not filed a complaint against anyone so far. Speculation is rife in Bagalkote that the Congress leader is using the woman in an attempt to trouble all four persons who had got him entangled in the sex scandal, forcing him to step down as minister.
