Portion of cabin in Metro falls near Khairatabad

According to an eye-witness, the portion got damaged when a passenger grabbed it for support in the overcrowded coach.

Hyderabad: A portion of cabin in a Metro Rail coach running on the LB Nagar-Miyapur line fell down on Friday, briefly scaring passengers. The incident occurred near the Khairatabad station.

Though it created panic for a brief period, no one was injured in the incident.

According to an eye-witness, the portion got damaged when a passenger grabbed it for support in the overcrowded coach.

Though a video of the incident went viral, the Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities were in denial.

HMRL managing director N.V.S. Reddy said he has checked with the control room and no such incident was reported. “Trains are running normally. No problem at Khairatabad,” he told this newspaper.
