Hyderabad: With illegal debris being dumped on one side and lack of safety measures for Ganesh immersion on the other, problems abound for devotees taking part in Ganesh immersion at Neknampur Lake. Huge Ganesh idols at Neknampur Lake are being immersed by people manually as there are no cranes and this can lead to fatal accidents.

Furthermore, this is being done by people in the absence of proper lighting and surrounded by garbage. Flowers, plants, plastic covers and the residual items  are dumped on the steps. Activists allege that the responsibility is being left in the hands of the Panchayat which is not doing a good job.
