Hyderabad: The road leading to West Marredpally from Secunderabad Cantonment Board office via the Water Board Pump House and city civil courts is a classic example of official apathy as potholes have turned into craters posing a threat to the lives of motorists.

Though the potholes, when they were small were filled up, the recent rain washed away the material. The potholes have turned big ditches. Interestingly, this a cement road and yet potholes have formed due to rains, indicating the lack of quality of the road.

Even worse is the Mahendra Hills road junction where the bitumen has been washed away, exposing the uneven muddy layers underneath. Adding to the woes of motorists are the stray cattle wandering on the road. There was no rain on Sunday but no one turned up to repair the road.
