Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday made it clear that it is mandatory for authorities to conduct land surveys when requested and when there is a dispute about procedural lapses or some other related issues, the aggrieved party can seek justice from the court.

Justice P Naveen Rao said this while dismissing a petition by Venkata Leela Krishnan Raju, a resident of Kukatpally, challenging the action of the Tahasildar of Sabbavaram mandal in Visakhapatnam district, refusing to survey his four cents land in Gottiwada village of the mandal.

The court has left it open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy as available in law against the endorsement of Tahsildar rejecting the survey.
