Hyderabad: Chaitanyapuri cops arrest 4 for abducting

On his way back from a police station, the victim, who was attending the weekly conditional bail procedure, was kidnapped, the police said.

Hyderabad: Chaitanyapuri police, on Monday, arrested four persons including two women for kidnapping a man and threatening him to marry one of the female kidnappers, who had earlier lodged a rape complaint against him.

On his way back from a police station, the victim, who was attending the weekly conditional bail procedure, was kidnapped, the police said.

According to Chaitanyapuri police, the victim M. Sai Teja (28), is a resident of Bachupally. In 2018, a case was registered against him at Vanasthalipuram police station, following a complaint from a woman, alleging sexual assault, cheating and criminal intimidation.

He was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

Teja procured a conditional bail from the concerned court, where he was asked to visit Vanasthalipuram police every Sunday and sign the condition bail.
