Supriya Sule meets beleaguered leader Chhagan Bhujbal in jail

Bhujbal earlier pleaded innocence in cases pertaining to land grabbing cases.

Mumbai: NCP MP and party chief Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule on Saturday met former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal at Arthur Road jail.

Bhujbal was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a Special Court of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in Mumbai on Thursday.

Asked by mediapersons, waiting outside the jail, about her meeting with Bhujbal, Sule just said "Happy Holi" and left.

The senior NCP leader was arrested late on Monday by the Enforcement Directorate which is probing money laundering and other cases against him.

He was produced before a court here which sent him to juidicial custody at Arthur Road Central Jail where his nephew Samir Bhujbal is also lodged since his arrest on February 1 in related cases.

Bhujbal had earlier pleaded innocence in cases pertaining to construction of Maharashtra Sadan - a government guesthouse in New Delhi - and Kalina (Mumbai) land grabbing cases.
