Vijayawada: Former minister and Jana Sena leader Ravela Kishore Babu and former DIG T Ravikumar Murthy are among the hundreds of aspirants who filed their bio-data forms on Monday seeking tickets to contest in the upcoming Assembly and Parliament elections.

Ravela Kishore Babu submitted his bio-data to the screening committee members at the State Party office in Vijayawada for contesting from Pathipadu Assembly constituency in Guntur district. They said they followed the path of Pawan Kalyan who advised to submit the bio-data forms only to the screening committee and further said every aspirant should submit their bio-data only to the committee.

As many as 275 bio-data forms were received on Monday. Other aspirants who submitted their bio-data forms are mostly retired employees, senior journalists and tribal people. The committee members keenly scrutinized the bio-data forms since morning.

A good number of tribal men and women thronged the Jana Sena party office to submit their bio-data forms to the screening committee. It may be recalled that during the recent tour in the agency areas, Pawan Kalyan had announced that Jana Sena would protect the interests of Girijans and Bauxite mining would be stalled if comes to power.

The tribal aspirants said they were much convinced with the promises Pawan Kalyan made during his stay in the nights at their thandas in Araku and Paderu agency areas and the way he mingled with them. His commitment for the welfare of the tribals drove them to approach the screening committee to contest in the Assembly and Parliament elections, they said.

They said that Pawan Kalyan was only the leader, who had true love for the girijans. Right solutions to the long-pending issues in the agency areas would be found during the Jana Sena rule, they said.
