2 RIMS medicos die in Maharashtra road mishap

 Adilabad: Two medicos of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Adilabad died in a road accident that took place at Pandharkawada of Maharashtra on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

The bike they were riding rammed into a stationary lorry near the toll plaza at Pandharkawda from where they were returning to Adilabad. The two were killed on the spot as they suffered fatal injuries.  

The deceased were identified as David Raj of Parkala of Hanamkonda district and Bala Sai of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, who were studying third year of their MBBS. It is learnt that the medicos went to Pandharkawda to celebrate an occasion. The bodies were shifted to Adilabad after conducting a post-mortem at a hospital in Pandharkawada on Monday.  

Sources said that a total of six medicos on three bikes went to Pandharkawada on Sunday evening from Adilabad and the remaining four students are safe.
