Telugu Desam worker hacked to death

Kurnool: Telugu Desam activist Subba Rao was hacked to death on Tuesday near Belum Caves in Kolimigundla mandal, Kurnool district. The assailants led by one Gurivi Reddy who came in two vehicles killed him with hunting sickles and smashed his head with a boulder, said police.

Subba Rao (45) was a close associate of former MLA of Banaganapalle, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, and lived in Chinyalayala Palle in Kolimigundla mandal.

Kolimigundla sub-inspector K. Jagadeeswar Reddy said it was a political murder as rivalry between the TD and the YSR Congress party had deepened.
