IIM-Bangalore's Vista powers budding entrepreneurs with technology

Bengaluru: To equip budding entrepreneurs with technology, Vista 2018, a business summit organised by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B), held workshops on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to digital marketing. Themed ‘Prism of Possibilities,’ the student-driven initiative covered marketing, finance, social responsibility and entrepreneurship during the three-day event.

“With over 50 verticals across categories, the annual event was organised to drive innovation, change and growth in business and management,” said a member of the Forum for Industrial Interaction, the organising body of the summit that took place on the IIM-B campus over the weekend.

Inaugurating the event, Mr Ajay Shah, president, Polymer Chain, Reliance Industries Ltd, stressed on the importance of sustainable existence and shared his thoughts on creating a post-consumer economy to create value.

Mr Ramky S., the performance analyst with the Indian cricket team, Mr Srinath T.B., Deputy General Manager, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mr Vishal Jaison, Co-founder, Baseline Ventures, and Mr Radhakrishnan Sreenivasan, presenter, Star Sports, provided insights into the industry. Mr Vivek Chandra, Director, ITW Sports, spoke about career options in the sports management sector.

It was a full house for ‘Unplug with Sadhguru’, where Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev on Sunday answered queries from youngsters. It was also part of his ongoing ‘Youth and Truth’ national series. The Sadhguru said that the major reason for unemployment is because everyone prefers a similar kind of job. “The problem is that the people look for a certain kind of job when there are many options around. If you have a working brain and a seeing eye, there are thousands of things to be done right around you,” he said
