Rs 2.46 crore for Kudumaramathu scheme in Ariyalur

ARIYALUR: An amount of Rs 6 crore has been earmarked for renovation and desilting of 12 irrigation tanks across Ariyalur district, which are nearing completion under the “Kudimaramathu” scheme, according to Tamil Nadu Government's chief whip Thamarai S. Rajendran.

Dr T.G. Vinay and others, Mr.Rajendran said the Government has sanctioned renovation and desilting of 106 small irrigation tanks  and ponds each at a cost of Rs 5 lakh and 872 'Ooranigal' each at a cost of Rs 1 lakh during the current fiscal under the Kudimaramathu scheme.
