Hyderabad: The visit of Union home minister Amit Shah to Telangana on April 23, when he is expected to address a public meeting in Chevella, will kick off the BJP's plans to hold public meetings in all Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, with the party aiming to win as many as possible in the 2024 Parliament elections.

Shah’s visit and public meetings to be addressed by top leaders of the party, including Union ministers that will follow — as part of the party’s Parliamentary Pravas Yojana— will include Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, which the "BJP is determined to win," party’s state general secretary G. Premender Reddy said.

"We will make every effort to reach out to people in the Hyderabad constituency and win from there," he asserted.

Premender Reddy, speaking to the media after BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal chaired a meeting with the party's Lok Sabha wise party conveners, joint conveners, vistaraks, and prabharis on Tuesday, said the party had devised a two-month plan to educate people on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government's programmes, schemes, and policies, and how they are being obstructed from being implemented in Telangana.

"Simultaneously, the party is continuing its efforts for setting up polling booth level committees. We have to create a force to take on this undemocratic rule in the state. The process is taking some time as we want to do a perfect job," he said.

He said the Union minister for animal husbandry and fisheries Parshottam Rupala will be visiting the Peddapalle Lok Sabha constituency on April 20 and 21, and will meet with the local BJP leaders and party workers.
