ASEAN business meet in Bengaluru from February 25

The summit will focus on 18 identified business sectors. A special effort will be made to project the high growth potential of Karnataka.

Bengaluru: The city will host ASEAN Chambers of Commerce & Industry Business Meet, under the aegis of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), between February 25 and 27.

FKCCI President Sudhakar S. Shetty, who has taken the initiative to organise the meet, in close coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Central and State governments, is hopeful that it will go a long way in promoting trade relations in the region, and more particularly, showcasing Karnataka as an attractive investment destination.

The event aims to bring together the chambers of commerce, industry captains and corporate honchos, eminent business experts, top exporters and importers of ASEAN, ASEAN Plus countries and Special Invitee countries on a single,

Around 2,000 delegates, including over 300 foreign delegates, Ambassadors and Consul Generals of over 20 countries and around 5,000 business visitors are expected be present at the Business Summit to be held in Vidhana Soudha and Lalit Ashok.

The summit will focus on 18 identified business sectors. A special effort will be made to project the high growth potential of Karnataka.

Among the important sectors being covered are Automobile & Auto Components, Aerospace and Defence, Engineering/Fabrication, Infrastructure, Fintech, Gems & Jewelry, Health & Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology, Education & Skill Development, Medical Electronics, Textiles & Garments, Start-ups, Tourism etc.

Shetty said, “I am grateful that the state government, Ministry of External Affairs, and union government are supporting this event.”
