Reduce medical costs: Governor ESL Narasimhan

The Governor said, I hope in my lifetime this conference will be held and there will be standardisation of costs.

Mr Narasimhan said that his visit was a routine one and no special significance should be attached to it.

Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has asked doctors to hold a conference and discuss the standardisation of medical costs as the middle class are the worst-hit due to the high bills.

Mr Narasimhan was speaking at the annual meeting of the Venous Association of India, where prominent doctors, surgeons and hospital owners had gathered to discuss the subject. The Governor said, “I hope in my lifetime this conference will be held and there will be standardisation of costs. I have been speaking about the hardships of patients in most of the conferences and hope the IMA will work towards it.”
