Hyderabad: 3 held for selling fake cotton seeds

Hyderabad: Three persons including a businessman were arrested for selling spurious cotton seeds. Medchal inspector M. Gangadhar said that during searches by the agriculture department officials at Vennela Seeds company in NGO’s Colony, it was found that one Sampathi Anjaneyulu, 34, of Guntur was selling spurious seeds to farmers through Mamilla Mahender, 30, and N. Sheshaiah, 38, of Medchal. A case was registered against the trio and they were remanded to judicial custody at Cherlapally Prison.
