Hyderabad: Mr Sadiq Pasha, the father of a Class VIII student of  Vijaya Ratna School, Uppal, has registered a complaint stating that his child has been isolated by his teachers.

“My son’s class teacher keeps asking him to sit on a separate bench. I have asked his teacher about the reason for this. She keeps saying that he is naughty, but she is not able to provide an example of one instance where he has behaved badly. He is performing well academically, so we are shocked at this treatment,” said Mr Pasha.

The student claims to be feeling “depressed” as a result of the treatment. “I have no friends in school. They have targeted me for some reason. If anyone talks to me, that student is punished. Once, my teacher told the class she would not teach as long as I was in the class. I was asked to leave by the students,” he says.

The teacher denied the allegations and said that she had made the student sit separately on one occasion so that he would not disturb the class with his antics.
