FCRI pact with Auburn varsity for student exchange

HYDERABAD: Forest College & Research Institute (FCRI), Mulugu, and Auburn University, Alabama, USA, officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday. This collaboration is for a fully-funded master's degree programme.

The programme, which will offer a master's degree in Forestry and related sciences, is generously funded by Auburn University. It presents FCRI students with the valuable opportunity to pursue their studies at the esteemed American institution.

This MoU will remain in effect for six years. During this time, FCRI will have the privilege of sending two students annually to Auburn University, providing them with invaluable experiential learning in the field of Forestry and research. Additionally, this partnership will open doors to enhanced placement opportunities for FCRI students.

The MoU was formally signed in the presence of several dignitaries, including Priyankaa Varghese, IFS, Dean of FCRI; Dr Janaki Alavalapapti, Dean of the College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment; Dr Christopher Roberts, president of Auburn University; Bret Wright, director of Auburn University, and various faculty members and students from Auburn University.
