Kochi: Actress plea against hand over of visuals

The actress said that handing over the visuals will affect her privacy and that they could also be misused.

Kochi: The victim in the assault case in which actor Dileep is an accused has approached the Supre-me Court to implead her in the case filed by Dileep. She requested that the visuals of the assault on her should not be handed over to Dileep as demanded by him. The court will consider her petition on Tuesday. The actress said that handing over the visuals will affect her privacy and that they could also be misused. She has also cited court verdicts which have established that right to privacy is a fundamental right. She also submitted crucial evidence and documents in the case to SC registry in sealed envelopes.

These will be submitted to the bench handling the case on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it is understood that senior police officials from the state investigating the case, including ADGP B. Sandhya, have reached Delhi. They are expected to meet senior advocates. It is learnt that the victim had earlier sought legal advice from senior advocates in this regard.

Dileep was arrested on July 10, 2017 while the actress was abducted and assaulted on February 17 in the same year. Dileep was apprehended following a probe into the conspiracy angle in the case after the arrest of the prime accused Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni.
