Three dead in Devarapalli road accident

 KAKINADA: Three persons – Patnala Digvijaya Radha Krishna Swamy (47) of Rajamahendravaram, Kakin Chakravarthi (30) of Vemagiri, and Bandubode Tulasiram (32) of Rajamahendravaram – died in a road accident near Voora Cheruvu in Yernagudem village of Devarapalli mandal in East Godavari district on Tuesday.

Another person, Sk. Ismail of Rajamahendravaram, has been injured and admitted to a private hospital in Rajamahendravaram.

Police said the four had been going from Devarapalli towards Nallajerla village by a car. The car got punctured and hit a divider. Following this, it overturned and fell on the other side of the road and came under a container lorry.

Swamy and Chakravarthi died on the spot. Tulasiram breathed his last while on way to the hospital. Ismail is undergoing treatment and his condition is said to be stable.

Devarapalli sub-Inspector K. Srihari Rao has registered a case and circle Inspector A. Srinivasa Rao is investigating.

Swamy was working as MPHO at Veeravalli village. Chakravarthi had been an employee of a private showroom at Rajamahendravaram. Tulasiram was a software engineer. Swamy’s wife Darsina Syamala is working as a pharmacist at the Primary Health Centre in Dommeru village. Ismail is working in a private company.
