Web cameras in 470 sensitive Kovai booths
As many as 150 groups has been formed in district and involved in round the clock duty to avoid money distribution for vote.
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, 470 polling booths have been identified as ‘sensitive’, and are being brought under web cam surveillance said district collector, Rasa Mani, on Tuesday.
Taking a voters pledge at the collectorate here, Rasa Mani said, “There are 3,070 polling booths in the district. Around 1,880 booths have been brought under web camera surveillance, and additional security arrangements have been made. All the booths are provided with necessary basic amenities volunteers are engaged in duty to help senior most citizens and physically-challenged persons”.
