THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the Parliamentary and Assembly level conventions coming to a close, the ruling front is now getting further down to the grassroots level to step up its campaign.

Over the next week the LDF candidates are scheduled to hold meetings at the taluk and panchayat level. Besides, the LDF squads are also fanning out across the state for connecting directly with voters and also conducting house to house visits.

“Our candidates have been well received in each constiutency. We are getting a good response from people. We took the advantage in announcing the candidates ahead of UDF and BJP. The internal fighting in Congress, Kerala Congress and BJP over candidates has also given us an early edge,” said LDF convenor A. Vijayaraghvan.

The LDF will complete the process of setting up booth committees by March 20. The constituency level conventions which were addressed by top leaders of LDF including Chief Minster Pinaryi Vijayan were well attended.
