Pink Police Patrols for safety of women, kids: G Parameshwar

The reaction to online harassment led to women increasing online privacy controls and also reducing the amount of information they shared online.

Bengaluru: To ensure safety of women and children in Bengaluru city,  the home department has decided  to introduce “Pink Police Patrols” soon.

As many as 51 Pink Hoysala services will be launched soon,  Home Minister Dr  G. Parameshwar informed the  Legislative Council on Thursday.

To protect women and children,  the  Kerala government  had introduced Pink Police Patrols recently.

The same system will be implemented in Bengaluru, the minister said while replying to a question by BJP member Tara.

Each Pink Hoysala Patrol will consist of a policewomen and other staff,  Dr  Parameshwar said.
