Nellore: Mauritius will soon have a 108 feet tall Lord Venakteswara statue. Representatives of Mauritius-based Hari Hara Devasthanam led by Brindavanam Pardhasaradhy  revealed this after worshipping the Lord of Seven Hills at Tirumala on Wednesday.

According to Mr Pardhasaradhy, they are spending nearly Rs 38 crore for huge statue and 80  per cent of the works are already completed.  He said that they have come to seek the blessings of the Lord and fix a date for Kumbhabhishekam (consecration) of the statue in September or October as per Vaikhanasa Agama Sastra. Apart from Prime Minister of Mauritius, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu are being invited for the Kumbhabishekam, he informed.
