Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has ordered government jobs to one person each from the families of two CRPF personnel from the state killed in the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

Also, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, accompanied by information minister Kadambur C. Raju, presented the solatium of Rs 20 lakh announced by Palaniswami, to Krishnaveni, wife of G. Subramanian, the CRPF jawan who was among the 44 killed, hailing from Tamil Nadu. The other jawan from TN killed was C. Sivachandran. The two CPRF personnel killed in the terror attack were flown to Madurai and Tiruchirappalli airports from New Delhi and later taken to their villages by road.

 Palaniswami has also ordered Deputy Chief Minister, minister for information and the Thoothukudi district collector to meet Subramanian’s family members and console them on behalf of the state government. minister for tourism Vellamandi N. Natarajan, Chief Government Whip S. Rajendran and Ariyalur district Collector would be meeting Sivachandran’s family to console them and also to provide a compensation of Rs. 20 lakh.
