BJP leaders protest against Urdu Academy

Hyderabad: BJP leaders staged a demonstration against the Urdu Academy in front of Haj House because it held a mushaira in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror incident on Thursday.

The Urdu Academy, which had planned a series of mushairas across the state, organised the first one in Nizamabad within three hours of the Pulwama incident. To protest this, BJP workers raised slogans against the president and secretary of Urdu Academy.

BJP minority morcha president Inayat Ali said that when the nation was mourning the dead in the terror attack, the Urdu Academy officials were enjoying the mushaira in Nizamabad. He asked the government to take serious note of this.
