Kozhikode: Special team on anvil to curb accidents

Kozhikode: In order to curb the increasing road accidents and regulate traffic, the district traffic department, public works department and the administration will form a special team of officials, from both the departments.

In Kozhikode, Koyilandy, Thamarassry and Vadakara, a team was formed by PWD Executive engineer, PWD Road NH division executive engineer, PWD roads, regional town planner, RTO,  assistant traffic commissioner (North and South),  and Deputy Superintendent of Police. All the teams have been directed to submit a study report on their respective regions regarding the urgent need of traffic reforms and also steps to be taken to curb accidents.

The review meeting on these study report will be held on January 10.
