Kochi: Beauty parlour owner accused in cheating case

The police recovered nine luxury cars and 81 costly watches from her residence when she was arrested.

Kochi: Leena Maria Paul, owner of Nail Artistry, a luxury nail salon, which came under fire in Kochi is an accused in Rs 19-crore cheating case filed by Chennai police in 2015. She was taken into custody from a farm house in South Delhi in 2015 on charges of duping Canara Bank to the tune of Rs 19 crore along with her friend Sekhar Chandrasekhar, a native of Chennai.

According to the police information at the time of the arrest in 2015 Ms Paul acted in Hindi and Malayalam movies starring John Abraham and Mohanlal named Madras Café and Red Chillies respectively. 

A graduate in dentistry she had a penchant for luxury cars. The police recovered nine luxury cars and 81 costly watches from her residence when she was arrested. She was also found to be employing six personal security guards having gun licences issued by the Delhi-Haryana police.

The police in Kochi, however, does  not have any information about her whereabouts in the city.
