Actor, friend Sai Kumar inspired Gali Janardhan Reddy
Sai Kumar, who is very close to Reddy, planned it in a bigger fashion with the video invite.
BENGALURU: By now, many of you would have downloaded the widely circulated video of former minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and his family members inviting people for the ‘royal’ wedding in filmi style.
But at the same time, you might be left wondering what inspired the mining baron to go for an out-of-the-box gala event, making it one of the most talked about marriage in the recent decades even surpassing some of the real royal weddings in the country!
Mr Sai Prakash, the man who directed the video wedding invite, said that the former minister was very impressed with actor Sai Kumar’s daughter’s wedding, which was arranged at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.
“Of course, Sai Kumar had planned it on a miniature scale and the wedding invite was only an audio. Sai Kumar, who is very close to Reddy, planned it in a bigger fashion with the video invite and also recreating a palatial atmosphere at the Bangalore Palace Grounds. Sai Kumar and his younger brother Ayyappa have been planning and working on this wedding for a long time to ensure that it is a memorable one,” said Mr Sai Prakash.
Sources said that Mr Sai Kumar grew close to the Ballari strongman after Mr Reddy pushed the BJP to give a ticket to the actor to contest from the Bagepalli constituency in Karnataka. Mr Sai Prakash, who has directed over 100 films so far, is known for his family dramas that are sentimental.
On featuring Mr Reddy and his family in the video invite, Mr Sai Prakash said, “Every father wants his daughter’s wedding to be a grand event. It was Sai Kumar, who has acted in most of my films, planned it all. Both Mr Reddy and Mr Sai Kumar love art and their plans to make it a royal wedding made it easy for me to film the video invite. Apart from this, I am also assisting the art department, and helping in arrangements as a token of friendship.”
