Drunken Lineman Switches Off Transformers

Hyderabad: An electricity department lineman on contract, who was in an inebriated condition, switched off the 33 KV power connection at Veerannapet of Choudharygudem of Cyberabad on Tuesday night.

Choudharygudem sub-inspector B. Sakram, alerted by residents, reached the area on Tuesday and found night lineman Narsing had switched off all connections. He alerted TSPDCL officials who brought another technician to restore the power supply. "Narsing was in an inebriated condition," the SI said.
