Bengaluru: Malikayya Guttedar accused of drawing power illegally

Kalaburagi:  The strongman of Afzalpur and former minister Malikayya Guttedar has been accused of abusing his position during his tenure as MLA for getting an illegal power connection from the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company (GESCOM) for irrigating his farm at Diksanga village in the same taluk. 

A Zilla Panchayat member from Afzalpur taluk Arunkumar Patil, who is the son of sitting Congress MLA M.Y. Patil, released documents here to substantiate his allegation that Mr Guttedar had miused his clout by diverting a rural water supply project meant for Deval Ganagapur village, which was expected to address drinking water scarcity in the village, to his own farm.
