Hyderabad: In order to attend to immunocompromised patients of cancers after recovery from Covid-19, who are increasingly diagnosed with mucormycosis or black fungus, a multidisciplinary clinic has been started at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (BIACH&RI).

This team of doctors includes surgeons from ENT, head and neck surgeons, neurosurgeons, ophthalmic, reconstructive and maxillofacial surgeons. This clinic is being set up in the hour of crisis as there is an increase in cases of mucormycosis.
