Mercury level in Hyderabad drops by 3° Celsius

A majority of the districts received moderate to heavy rainfall bringing down the mercury levels in the state.

It is to be recalled that the district received only 423 millimeter rain in the corresponding period last year.

Hyderabad: The day temperature in Hyderabad  stood at 36.9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday,  a drop of 3°C from its usual 40°C, the normal for this time of the year.

A majority of the districts received moderate to heavy rainfall bringing down the mercury levels in the state. The highest quantum of rainfall was received in Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar  and  Nizamabad.

The state is still under rain and thundershower warnings till May 17. Thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated  places across all districts.
