The Nirudyoga JAC has demanded the postponement of the screening test  for Gurukul teaching posts scheduled on May 28. The date clashes with the Staff Selection Commission exam, JAC leader Manavatha Rai said.

He said aspirants should get at least 90 days from the date of issuing a notification, which was not followed this time.“The TET exam should be conducted before Gurukul test so that fresh candidates have eligibility,” he said.

Hundreds of candidates with DEd staged a protest in front of the TS Public Service Commission office in Nampally. A protester said that according to Supreme Court guidelines, students from Class I to V should be taught by teachers with D.Ed. “As teachers are being recruited to take classes in all residential schools, D.Ed candidates should be allowed to write the entrance exam,” he said.
