Hyderabad: Budget showers Corporations with big bucks

Present government commitments had reached to about Rs 40,000 crore by way of pending bills, subsidies, contribution to CSS and others.

Hyderabad: A decent financial assistance has been given to the city corporations including the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation and Musi Riverfront Development Corporation. The state government in its annual budget has allocated Rs 377.35 crore for MRDC. The total cost of the project is Rs1,665 crore. Besides this, the government has also allocated Rs 566.02 crore to the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited.

The corporation has sent  Rs 7,073.14 under three heads — Rs 6,317.64 crore for the 2BHK housing project, Rs 377.75 crore for HRDCL and Rs 377.75 crore for the Musi riverfront development project. Responding to the proposals, the government has allocated Rs 566.02 for HRDCL and Rs 377.35 crore for MRDC
