Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did not figure in the protocol list of VIPs to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his arrival in the city on Saturday.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has summoned a meeting of his cabinet on Sunday at 4 p.m.

He instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make necessary arrangements for the meeting, which would be held at the Pragathi Bhawan.

The cabinet is likely to finalise dates for the budget session of the Telangana state legislative assembly, which is expected to commence during the first week of March. The meeting will also dwell on the new revenue act, which will be introduced during the forthcoming session.

The Chief Minister is expected to discuss with his cabinet colleagues the move to replace the existing system of joint collectors with additional collectors. The proposal of CM to form new circles in the irrigation department is also expected to come up

during the Cabinet meeting.
