Bengaluru: Actress Sruthi Hariharan, who has accused actor Arjun Sarja of sexually abusing her since 2015 during the shooting of the film Vismaya, on Wednesday revealed that she has submitted videographic evidences of witnesses to the court.

She was speaking to the media after meeting the chairperson of State Women's Commission, which has taken up a suo motu case against Arjun Sarja based on #MeToo allegations made by the actress.

After presenting her case before women’s commission chairperson Nagalakshmi Bai, the actress said that she has video evidence of witnesses which she has presented to the court. She said that she is being threatened constantly and she has approached the police.

The actress lost her cool when a TV reporter asked her about her earlier alleged statement that she was like sugar and the media like ants. She denied making the statement and avoided further questions from the media, before rushing away from the commission office.

Ms Nagalakshmi Bai said that the actress put forth her case and also revealed that she was being sent obscene messages and threatened. Ms Bai told the actress the commission would bring it to the notice of cyber police to initiate action against culprits.

Sarja plea adjourned
The Karnataka High Court adjourned to November 28 a petition filed by actor Arjun Sarja seeking to quash an FIR against him at the Cubbon Park police station following a complaint filed by Sruthi Hariharan.
